Stacked Bar / Stacked Column: two-column budget-band comparison for life-sciences gen-AI spending.

Layout / body structure

The chart places the 2024 estimate and 2025 forecast as adjacent vertical stacks. Budget bands are ordered within each column, with connector lines linking the same bands across years.

What is being compared

It compares the share of life-science organizations in each gen-AI budget band, from less than $1 million through more than $10 million, between the 2024 estimate and the 2025 forecast.

Measurement system

Each segment is percent of respondents. Segment labels show the percentage share for that budget band in each year.

Visible structure inside the graphic

Higher-budget bands expand in the 2025 forecast column, while the less-than-$1-million segment contracts. The connectors make the shift from lower to higher spending tiers visible.

Main takeaway from the visual

The chart shows life-science organizations planning larger gen-AI budgets in 2025, with more respondents moving into the $5 million-plus bands.

Key standout values or extremes

The more-than-$10-million band rises from 13 percent in 2024 to 20 percent in 2025, and the $5-million-to-$10-million band rises from 7 percent to 12 percent. The less-than-$1-million band falls from 43 percent to 35 percent.
