December 13, 2022 – Minimobility might be the next big thing in transportation, say partners Kersten Heineke and Timo Möller and coauthors. The segment includes three- or four-wheeled electric vehicles (EVs) that fit one to two people. Visual form
Survey chart.
Layout / body structure
The visual is laid out as a consumer-preference comparison, with the minimobility option measured against the broader future mobility mix. Reader scans the survey result first and then reads the segment framing around who may adopt these vehicles.
What is being compared
It compares consumer willingness to include minimobility vehicles in their future transportation mix, especially the three- and four-wheeled electric formats designed for one or two people.
Measurement system
The chart uses survey percentages, so the reader is tracking the share of respondents likely or very likely to use a minimobility vehicle.
Visible structure inside the graphic
The internal structure is built from the consumer-response share and the segment definition around the vehicles themselves. The chart uses a simple preference comparison to make the size of the potential adoption base easy to read.
Main takeaway from the visual
The page shows that minimobility has moved beyond novelty and into plausible future demand. The share of respondents open to using these vehicles is large enough that the category reads like a meaningful addition to the urban mobility mix.
Key standout values or extremes
The headline figure is that more than 30 percent of surveyed global consumers say they are likely or very likely to use a minimobility vehicle as part of their future mobility mix. That willingness level is the central visual fact on the page.
