SURAH 50 — Qāf — ق — “Qāf”

• Revelation Order: 34
• Event Anchor: Mid-Meccan challenge to Meccan disbelief in resurrection (c. 614–618 CE)

Explanation:
Surah Qāf addresses the central Meccan objection to resurrection, arguing through signs in nature—rain, revived earth, human creation—that reassembly after death is easy for God. Its powerful imagery and abrupt transitions reflect the mid-Meccan preaching style aimed at confronting disbelief through vivid reminders. The surah also consoles the Prophet, acknowledging the emotional burden of mockery and denial. These elements fit a period when arguments over life after death formed one of the sharpest theological divides between Islam and Quraysh.
