A three-color registration proof
One fellowship, carried forward through three legacies
Recovery, Unity, and Service name three related inheritances within A.A. They remain distinct enough to clarify different questions and connected enough to support one fellowship.
Three ink passes
Each Legacy brings a different question into focus
The framework associations below are principal reading paths—not exclusive definitions or substitute A.A. wording.
What supports personal recovery?
Recovery concerns the personal program and shared experience through which members seek freedom from alcoholism. The Twelve Steps are its principal reading path; this page does not promise a cure, pace, or guaranteed result.
RECOVERYWhat helps groups and the fellowship remain united?
Unity concerns common welfare, group life, and principles that help autonomous groups remain part of a wider fellowship. The Twelve Traditions are its principal reading path; unity does not mean uniformity or centralized control.
UNITYHow is responsibility carried so help remains available?
Service concerns responsibility carried by members, groups, and service bodies so A.A. remains available. The Twelve Concepts and service literature provide a principal reading path; service is broader than meeting chores or administration.

Reading rule
Not stages. Not ranks. Not interchangeable.
The Legacies are related, but none is a prerequisite for another and none sits above the others.
Steps, Traditions, and Concepts are useful principal reading paths, not exclusive borders around Recovery, Unity, and Service.
The framework does not make A.A. a hierarchy or turn service principles into local-group commands.
