This proof-of-concept demonstrates how target visibility can be governed by true line-of-sight rather than binary on/off detection. Signals from distant objects are smoothly acquired when unobstructed and gradually lost when occluded by intervening bodies, creating natural fade-in and fade-out behavior. The result is a perception system where obstacles meaningfully block awareness, targets re-emerge through motion and positioning, and players intuitively learn spatial relationships and cover without relying on explicit UI indicators.
