This identifies the organization responsible for service administration such as organizing, training, equipping, personnel, readiness, and sustainment. It helps veterans understand the enduring service-side chain behind a unit.
How to Read It Correctly
Administrative command is not necessarily the immediate Parent Unit, operational commander, host installation, or command exercising OPCON or TACON during a mission.

Technical Specification
The database column is [USMIL-Unit].[Unit].[AdministrativeCommand]. Optional scalar narrative summarizing administrative command. It is not a foreign key and does not replace effective-dated administrative-command relationships.
Name the evidenced administrative headquarters and preserve the applicable dates or conditions. The current column is a readable summary; exact command edges belong in effective-dated relationship records.
