Effective From
The date from which the facts represented by this unit record are known to apply.
Effective To
The date through which the represented facts are known to apply.
Activation or Commission Date
The documented date the unit was activated or a ship or cutter command was commissioned.
Inactivation or Decommission Date
The documented date the unit was inactivated or a commissioned command ended.
Former Designation
An earlier official name used by the same supported unit lineage.
Successor Unit
The later unit identity officially connected to this unit through succession, redesignation, consolidation, or another supported lineage event.
Predecessor Unit
The earlier unit identity officially connected to this unit’s lineage.
Lineage Continuity
What the evidence says about whether two names or organizations belong to the same official lineage.
Historical Command Alignment
The higher administrative or operational commands associated with the unit during a particular historical period.
