Lancaster tail and rear fuselage
A close color view shows the rear half of a dark Avro Lancaster against a blue sky. The black vertical tail and tailplane fill the right side, two propeller spinners and blurred propeller arcs are visible, and the fuselage shows an RAF roundel, red code letters beginning with VR, and a rear turret with protruding guns.
Lancaster fuselage and bomb bay
A black-and-white close view shows the side of a Lancaster on the ground with a large RAF roundel and the letter C on the fuselage. The wing root crosses the frame, the lower fuselage opens around the bomb-bay area, and the main landing gear and engine nacelles are visible on both sides.
Lancaster rear turret in hangar
A preserved Lancaster sits indoors with its glazed rear turret filling the left side of the frame. Twin gun barrels project from the turret, camouflage paint covers the fuselage and wings, and a roundel and maintenance platforms are visible under the hangar roof.
Lancaster upper surfaces in flight
A close color flight view shows a camouflaged Lancaster with code VN-T, serial PA474, and RAF roundels on the fuselage and wing. The nose, cockpit glazing, mid-upper turret, tail fin, and four blurred propellers are visible against a clear blue sky, with a second dark tail crossing the lower left of the frame.
Lancaster G-ASXX on ramp
A white four-engine Lancaster marked G-ASXX rests on a concrete ramp with its landing gear down. The image shows two visible propeller engines on the near wing, a glazed cockpit and nose section, roundel-style markings on the fuselage and underside of the wing, and several small badges on the forward fuselage.
Lancaster AR-L illustration
A color illustration shows a camouflaged Avro Lancaster flying above clouds and snow-covered mountains. The aircraft carries code AR-L and serial PA474, RAF roundels, nose art, a glazed nose, dorsal and tail turrets, four engine nacelles, and blurred propellers.
